Local Organization Hosting "Compete for a Cause" Backgammon Tournament
Bellingham, Wash. (PRWEB) April 28, 2009 -- In partnership with Boundary Bay Brewery, the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center (WDRC) is hosting its first annual "Compete for a Cause" Backgammon Tournament on Saturday, May 30th (9am-3pm) in the Boundary Bay Brewery Beer Garden. The Backgammon Tournament will be an opportunity for beginners and experienced players alike to have fun, show their skills, enjoy food and drink, and support peacemaking in Whatcom County. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit WDRC.
Registration is now open. Forms are available online at www.whatcomdrc.org, at Boundary Bay, or at the WDRC at 13 Prospect Street. Early registration is strongly encouraged as other Compete for a Cause events have sold out.
Tournament Registration is $25 per person, or $30 with lunch. All ages welcome. Those experienced with the Doubling Cube can register for the advanced tournament, all others are welcome to register for the general tournament.
