Beer Ingredients
The main ingredients found in beer are water, malted barley, hops, and yeast. There are other ingredients such as flavoring, sugar, and other ingredients that are commonly used. Starches are used as well, as they convert in the mashing process to easily fermentable sugars that will help to increase the alcohol content of beer while adding body and flavor.

46th Annual Winter Carnival at Snow Trails Offers Everything from Spectating to Racing, Brats and Beer
Mansfield, OH, (PRWeb) February 21, 2007 -- Snow Trails, Ohio's popular ski, snowboard, and snowtubing resort, will host the 46th Annual Winter Carnival February 24th and 25th. The weekend festivities have been celebrated since the very first season in 1961-'62 at Snow Trails.
There is something for everyone, from the famous Bikini and Chippendale Slalom races, to the SoBe Kid's Challenge and the Mt. Dew Slush Cup. The slopes will attract many, and the Carnival even more, as Snow Trails gears up for an expected 5,000 visitors. The area will be open from 9:00am- 9:30pm for regular skiing and snowboarding as well as tubing throughout the weekend. Due to the two to six foot base, some of the best conditions of the season are expected.
The Ski Patrol Bratwurst Burn will begin serving their delicious brats and beer at 11:00am. For the second year, the SoBe Kid's Challenge will take place close to the Terrainasaurus Park, for the youngster's at noon. The aroma of the grill will fill the air as the Mountain Bike downhill contestants warm up for the Slalom course, set on the Competition Slope for 1:00pm.
The ever-so-popular Bikini and Chippendale races will take place at 3:00pm on Saturday. Awards for the day's activities will be held at 4:30pm in the Snowflake Loft, located in the main lodge. Evening entertainment begins on Friday night at 8:00pm with live music from Jeremie Allen, a soloist on acoustic-electric guitar. Saturday night's entertainment begins at 9:00pm in The Snowflake Loft with the band "Shuck'n Bubba Deluxe," just prior to the Torch Parade on Mt. Mansfield.
The second day will begin with the slopes opening at 9:00am on Sunday. The Snow Trails Ski Patrol will fire up the outdoor grill once again at 11:00am, as the Carnival Giant Slalom race gets underway. The costume contest judging is scheduled for noon.
It's all part of the fun, as the course will be set and ready to signal the first qualifying heat of the Skier and Boarder Cross race, slated for 12:30pm. A race of this nature is a hybrid of down-hill skiing and snowboarding through a motocross type course of snow. Contestants race five or six at a time down the potentially disastrous course.
The Amstel Light Challenge will draw a crowd to view participants on the obstacle course at 2:00pm. Set as the grand finale of the Carnival is the Mountain Dew Slush Cup where daring individuals on snowboards and skis try their best at skimming across an icy pool of green colored slush. Most do not make it across the lengthy pool, proving to be a treat more for the spectators than the participants.
Although the events and features are designed to add excitement and fun to the weekend, all are welcome to come and enjoy the resort whether they participate in the events or not. The Annual Ski Carnival at Snow Trails has become a yearly reunion for many over the years.
